Geotechnics as well as our sister company Cofra, belong to the Boskalis Cofra Holding, being part of Boskalis, a leading dredging and offshore contractor and maritime services provider.

Geotechnics within the Cofra group of companies

Geotechnics is the trading and production company within the holding, producing the prefabricated vertical wick drain brand MebraDrain and the waterproof liner barrier Geolock cutoff wall. Dealing and working with various types of geosynthetics over decades has brought us a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts with suppliers worldwide. We use this in the production and installation of liner barriers, as well as supporting our parent company Boskalis in the field of geotextiles, geogrids, geocomposites and liners.

Cofra is the specialized contracting company, mainly operating in the field of ground improvement. Besides ground improvement Cofra also focusses in specific markets on the installation of barriers, often involving (environmentally protective) liner constructions.

Mebradrain

Geotechnics has been the developer and producer – supplier of MebraDrain vertical drainage for decades in which hundreds of millions of meters of drain have been shipped from our production location in Amsterdam (NL) and proven themselves internationally on hundreds of leading projects. The well-known product is characterized by its excellent functionality and reliability.

Over the years, in-depth knowledge and experience has been built up with regard to raw materials and production techniques.

The in-house laboratory guarantees our certified production and, together with our Geotechnical department, contributes to the realization of project-related 'custom made' MebraDrain variants.

Geolock

Geotechnics is an experienced manufacturer of the vertical liner barrier Geolock. Over the years
we have delivered projects in Europe, North America and Asia. Geolock cutoff wall is a waterproof barrier which consists of a patented lock construction, made of extruded HDPE, welded to 2.0 mm thick HDPE liner panels which are installed vertical in the subsoil. The lock system is equipped with a hydrophilic cord to guarantee water blockage, even at high depths / pressures.

Geotechnics provides the Geolock screen palleted on the design depth of your project.

The hydrophylic cord is also provided with the delivery to make the lock watertight.

Geotechics can provide the installation plate or weight on a rental basis, as well as expert assistance to train your crews in the installation of the product.
